I spotted this at Sociological Images Sociological Images and just had to put down my thoughts here...
I guess these photos were used to commemorate Thanksgiving in trash-tastic Man-child rag, Coed Magazine (Really? WHAT THE F*CK?). One commenter at Soc Images included the actual text intro to the raunchy and racist photos:
“Thanksgiving’s around the corner, and as we’ve shown in years past, what better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a bunch of super sexy (pseudo) squaws adding a little wood to your totem pole? Sure, not all of these lovely ladies are actual Native Americans, but if you ask us, dressing up in a hot-ass Native American outfit does the job just fine. All we have to do now is decide to which one we’d like to give a Wampum necklace.”
This would be the equivalent of having sexy "Holocaust" girls, or sexy "Negro" tribal women with bones through their noses and shells adorning them, while dancing around a cauldron cooking two white explorers.
They couldn't even be bothered to get Native American women because this is not about finding Native American women attractive. It's about being sexually attracted to a stereotype, one that was probably used to rape and debase these women for a very long time.
The fact that they would use the words "squaw" and use "wampum necklace" as a sexualized term is even more irritating.
This is why we can't go anywhere with race relations because certain elements want to continue their trafficking in ignorance and idiocy in order to justify their own foolish notions.
As if it weren't enough that these people were victims of genocide and relegated to shitty areas called "reservations." Sphere: Related Content
